About Us Cinema Revolution is a DVD rental store located in south Minneapolis that specializes in foreign, independent and classic films on DVD. The store was founded on October 2, 2003 with 400 titles and a mission to promote film as art in the Twin Cities. We currently carry 2,400 DVDs and counting. Our carefully chosen selection is comprised of films that are substantive, essential and unique, and our new releases feature most titles shown theatrically at the Landmark Lagoon Cinema and Uptown Theatre. We are opposed to censorship and will always rent you the unrated or director's cut of a film whenever possible. It is our intention to provide you with the most definitive version of a film available.
